Rivers First Aid is proud to be a national distributor for the world leading HeartSine® samaritan® range of biphasic public access defibrillators. Our flagship model SAM 500P AED Defibrillator is the only device of its kind in the world. With the unique and patented CPR feedback technology, the chance of a successful resuscitation is significantly increased. More and more people are seeing the advantage of this unique life saving technology developed by the inventor of the worlds first portable defibrillator.
What price can you put on the life of a family member or work colleague? Our aim is to bring life saving technology as close as possible to those in need. Whether at home, work or public places, HeartSine® samaritan® AED are more than just a defibrillator, they save lives.
HeartSine® was founded in 1998 to continue innovative development of advanced defibrillators for the treatment of Sudden Cardiac Arrest. Our passion to innovate began in 1967, when we invented the first mobile defibrillator and changed the way the world delivered emergency care. In the years since, HeartSine has continued its passion to innovate by advancing mobile defibrillation and lifesaving technology.
By providing technologically advanced, easy-to-use, affordable AEDs for home and public access markets, HeartSine continues to provide medical devices that save lives. Our flagship product, the PAD 500P AED Defibrillator (Public Access Defibrillator) designed for use by rescuers of all skill levels, has been deployed in thousands of facilities. HeartSine AED products are currently available in 29 languages and are saving lives in more than 40 countries.
It Can Happen to Anybody!
A cardiac arrest happens suddenly, and often without any early symptoms. Large, small, smokers, non-smokers, young, old, ill and healthy people. We could all be affected. AEDs are an essential link in the chain of survival for sudden cardiac arrest victims. And since most sudden cardiac arrests occur outside of healthcare facilities, the public access defibrillator is an important tool for survival. With public access defibrillators, the opportunity to save a life often is placed in the hands of an untrained layperson. That’s why HeartSine AED solutions have been designed specifically for rescuers of all skill levels. Virtually anyone can confidently use a HeartSine AED to save a life.
Sudden Cardiac Arrest is a Killer
Lifesaving, Pure and Simple
The best things in life are often simple. That’s true for the best lifesaving technology as well. The simple truth is that Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) strikes more than 7 million people a year worldwide with no warning and no pattern. There’s little time to react and even less time to think. So your Automated External Defibrillator (AED) solution must be close at hand, reliable and effective even when used by someone with little or no training.
In fact, that was the motivation when our own Professor John Anderson, one of the founders of HeartSine,® developed the very first AED mobile coronary care unit in 1966 at the Royal Victoria Hospital. From those beginnings, after decades of award-winning design, patented innovation and technology breakthroughs, HeartSine AED tools put the power to save a life – right in your hands.
Every second counts
Count On Us Because Every Second Counts
SCA claims more than 7 million lives worldwide — annually! That’s more than the number of breast cancer, lung cancer, and AIDS/HIV deaths combined. It occurs abruptly and without warning, with 84 percent of SCA events occurring outside of the healthcare setting. Sudden Cardiac Arrest is indiscriminate as to age, race or gender.
Response Time Affects Survivability We all know that time is critical in the event of Sudden Cardiac Arrest and this may require us to take action on our own, rather than rely on others. An American Heart Association study showed that for every minute defibrillation is delayed, the victim’s chance of survival Decreases by 7%-10%. After 10 minutes, typical SCA survival rates drop to zero. With emergency response times typically beyond the 10-minute target, the most likely lifesaving scenario remains in our own hands.
There is nothing like the HeartSine Samaritan 500P Public Access Defibrillator.
The new 500P offers a Technology Breakthrough. The 500P Defibrillator is absolutely unique. It has a CPR advisor function – with one big difference to any other product out there. We are serious.
The patented ICG technology has been correlated to a host of physiological parameters that have been recorded and tested during actual CPR of real cardiac arrest victims, in order to provide the lay rescuer with the simple feedback to push just the right amount to maintain good CPR. And that is specific to the victim. If you need the medical papers to back this up – we have them.
This greatly increases the chance of saving a life, not to mention reducing the risk of broken ribs or other intrathoracic damage which cause unnecessary complications in recovery.
The new Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines recommends the use of prompt feedback devices to improve the quality of CPR.
So, unlike other models that rely on simply how hard you are pushing to hopefully guide you as to the effectiveness of your CPR, this new defibrillator technology does not rely on any guesswork at all. It is literally determining how effective you are doing CPR, including how well the blood is being circulated through the heart.
As 70% of all CPR is inadequately performed, this is a real lifesaver. More so in the event of a non-shockable rhythm when all you can do is CPR.
And the good thing about ICG is it is effective regardless of the patient’s size, or fat layer. It takes all of that into account.
When you consider that about half of the time an AED will determine that “no shock is advised” it makes a lot of sense to have real CPR help on an AED, so that it can be a life saver all the time, not just half the time.
The new 500P Defibrillator. Go for your life with this defibrillator!
